"In 2021, we lost our dear friend and band mate, Gary Davies. A talented songwriter, producer, guitarist, and vocalist – with the most fertile imagination ever – he is greatly missed, but never forgotten!" As a tribute to Gary, Esra Pound’s first album release, CAIRO, is the eight remastered songs originally recorded in 1981-82. Please listen, like and share, as all of Gary's play revenue will go directly to his widow, Linda.
All songs were recorded and produced at Seandee Studios in Kidderminster, England. Esra Pound are forever in debt to Sean Carmody for his unwavering support and considerable investment of time, energy, and production acumen for this recording...oh & cleaning up the studio after us at 2am after another ridiculously long session
Thanks also go to former manager and lifelong friend, Simon Picken (centre) who did everything humanly possible to promote and develop the band.
Adrian’s Song Adrian’s Song was written as a tribute to the life of our close friend Adrian Hathaway. Adrian was born in Birmingham on April 24th 1958. He was very close to the band and valuable helper at all its concerts. Sadly, on the 29th September 1981, Adrian died at home in his sleep. His memory lives on with all who knew him.
